Neo-Klasisizm Rokokonun kaprisli aşırılıklarına tepki olarak 1750'li yıllarda ortaya çıkan ve 1770'li yıllarda tam olarak yerleşen, Antik Yunan ve Roma örneklerini temel alan bezeme tarzı. Doğrusal ve simetrik olanın ve plastiklikten ziyade düzlüğün tercih edilmesiyle karakterize edilir.

Neo-Classicism The style of decoration, based on Ancient Greek and Roman examples, which made its appearance in the 1750s as a reaction to the capricious excesses of the rococo, and which was fully established by the 1 770s. It is characterized by a preference for the linear and the symmetrical, and for flatness rather than plasticity.
