ADHOCISM

Mimarlık tarafından icat edilen adhocism terimi tarihçi Charles Jencks tasarımı anlatacak bu, yeni formüle ederek değil, ortaya çıkıyor sorunlara çözüm bulmak ancak yeni bir sonuç elde etmek için önceden var olan unsurları birleştirmek. seçilen unsurların mutlaka olması gerekmez geçici olarak kullanılmak üzere tasarlanmıştır tasarımcı bunları koyar. Klasik bir örnek, Nathan Silver tarafından tasarlanan ve dört tekerleğe monte edilmiş metal bir traktör koltuğundan oluşan tabure bebek arabasından alınmıştır.

Term coined by the architectural historian Charles Jencks to describe design which comes about, not by formulating new solutions to problems but by combining preexisting elements to achieve a new result. The elements chosen need not necessarily have been designed for the use to which the adhoc designer puts them. A classic example is the stool designed by Nathan Silver which consists of a metal tractor seat mounted on four wheels taken from a baby carriage.
