Ölülerin Kitabı Eski Mısırlıların ölüleriyle birlikte gömdükleri papirüslerde yazılı olan çeşitli formül ve büyülü sözler koleksiyonu için kullanılan modern bir terim. 18. ve 19. hanedanlardan (M.Ö. i6.-i3. yüzyıl) kalma en iyi örnekler çok iyi bir şekilde resmedilmiştir.

Book of the Dead A modern term for a miscellaneous collection of formulae and incantations found inscribed on the papyri which the Ancient Egyptians buried with their dead. The best examples, dating from the 18th and 19th dynasties (i6th-i3th c. bc), are finely illustrated.
