BETON SANATI (CONCRETE ART)

Sanat, sürekli bir düzenleme ilkesi olarak yapı kavramıyla bağlantılı, basit, temsili olmayan görsel formlardan oluşur (bkz. Theo van Doesburg, Beton Sanatı Manifestosu, 1930). Bu isim, sanatçının faaliyetinin soyutlama sürecinin tersi olduğu gerekçesiyle soyut sanata tercih edildi. Max Bill, Beton Sanatını 'soyut düşünceleri duyusal ve somut bir biçimde temsil etme' çabası olarak tanımladı.

Concrete Art Art composed of simple, nonrepresentational visual forms, linked to the notion of structure as a continuous organizing principle (see Theo van Doesburg, Manifesto of Concrete Art, 1930). The name was chosen in preference to abstract art on the grounds that the artist's activity is the reverse of a process ofabstraction. Max Bill defined Concrete Art as 56 Consulatthe effort 'to represent abstract thoughts in a sensuous and tangible form'.
