Kilise Doktorları Hıristiyan dininin erken gelişimine rehberlik ettiği düşünülen bazı Erken Hıristiyan ilahiyatçıları. Doctors of the Church Certain Early Christian theologians who were thought to haveguided the early development of the Christian religion. In Western art, eight are normallyrepresented, usually as venerable old menstanding and holding books. The four Westernor Latin fathers - Ambrose, Augustine, Jeromeand Gregory the Great - are* by far the commonest. The four Eastern or Greek fathers are Basil, Gregory of Nazianzus, John Chrysostom and Athanasius.
