BAĞIMSIZ GRUP (INDEPENDENT GROUP)

1950'lerin ortalarında ve sonlarında Londra'daki ICA'da (Çağdaş Sanat Enstitüsü) tartışmak üzere bir araya gelen İngiliz sanatçı, mimar ve sanat eleştirmenlerinden (aralarında Richard Hamilton ve Eduardo Paolozzi'nin de bulunduğu) oluşan bir grup. Independent Group, İngiliz pop sanatının doğuşundan sorumluydu.

Independent Group A group of British artists, architects and art critics (among them Richard Hamilton and Eduardo Paolozzi) whomet for discussion at the ICA (Institute of Contemporary Arts) in London in the mid and late 1950s. The Independent Group was res- ponsible for the birth of British pop art.
