HABOKU

Haboku (Japonca 'sıçrayan mürekkep') Güney Sung (MS 960-1279) döneminde Çin'de popüler olan serbestçe fırçalanmış mürekkeple boyama stilinin daha sonraki aşırı bir versiyonu. Çinli sanatçılar kadar Japonlar tarafından da uygulandı; I5.-c. Japon ressam Sesshu özellikle tekniği kullanmasıyla ünlüydü.

Haboku (Jap. 'splattered ink') An extreme later version of the freely brushed ink-painting style popular in China under the southern Sung (ad960-1279). It was practised by Japanese as well as by Chinese artists; the I5th-c. Japanese painter Sesshu was particularly famous for his use of the technique.
