Jugendstil (Alman 'Genç Stil') Alman ve Avusturya art nouveau biçimi, genellikle daha geç tarihli ve Fransız ve Belçikalı benzerlerine göre stil açısından daha ölçülü. Adını 1896 yılında Münih'te kurulan Jugend ("Gençlik") dergisinden almıştır. Stille ilişkilendirilen tasarımcılar arasında Almanya'da Hermann Obristan Richard Riemerschmidt ve Avusturya'da Joseph Maria Olbrich vardı.

Jugendstil (Ger. 'Young Style') The Germanand Austrian form of art nouveau, generallylater in date and more restrained in style than its French and Belgian counterparts. It was namedafter the magazineJugend ('Youth'), founded in Munich in 1896. Among the designers as- sociated with the style were Hermann Obristand Richard Riemerschmidt in Germany, andJoseph Maria Olbrich in Austria.
