MİNİMAL ART (MİNİMAL SANAT)

1960'larda ifade ve yanılsama konusundaki tüm iddiaları bir kenara bırakan sanatı tanımlamak için icat edilen terim. Genellikle üç boyutludur ve tesadüfen şekillenir; bir kum yığını - veya sıklıkla tekrar tekrar kullanılan basit geometrik formlardan oluşan. Minimal art Term coined in the 1960s to describe art which abandons all pretensions at either expressiveness or illusion. It is generally three-dimensional, and either shaped by chance - e.g. a heap of sand - or made up of simple geometrical forms, often used repetitively. Carl Andre's sculptures made of bricks are the most famous example of the latter. See also gestalt.
