NEGATİF (NEGATIVE)

1. Ton ve (varsa) renk değerleri ters çevrilmiş olan, ışık içinden geçirilip hassaslaştırılmış kağıt üzerine düştüğünde pozitif bir görüntü oluşturan fotoğraf plakası veya filmi. 2. Bir gravür damgası veya kalıbı. 3. Negatif bir görüntü, rölyef veya renk etkisinin tersine dönmüş ve gerçekte olduğunun tam tersi olmuş gibi görünen görüntüdür. Bakınız: Negatif film.

Negative 1. A photographic plate or film with tonal and (where present) colour values re- versed, which produce a positive image when light is passed through it to fall on sensitized paper. 2. An intaglio stamp or mould. 3. A negative image is one where the effect of relief or colour seems to have been reversed, and to have become the opposite of what it is in reality.
