YENİ NESNELLİK - NENE SACHLİCHKEİT (NEW OBJECTIVITY)

Neue Sachlichkeit (Almanya 'Yeni Nesnellik') Terimi 1923'te G.F. Hartlaub, Mannheim'daki Kunsthalle'nin müdürü. 'Coşkulu umutlarla dolu bir dönemden sonra teslimiyet ve şüphecilikten' söz etti. Üslup, Alman dışavurumculuğuna karşı savaş sonrası bir tepkiydi ve nesnelerin ayrıntılı temsiline çok dikkat edildi. Neue Sachlichkeit (Ger. 'New Objectivity') Term coined in 1923 by G.F. Hartlaub, director of the Kunsthalle in Mannheim. He spoke of'resignation and cynicism after a period ofexuberant hopes.' The style was a post-warreaction against German expressionism, andpaid close attention to the detailed representation of objects. Many, though not all, of its practitioners were socially committed artists, the two most famous being Georg Grosz andOtto Dix. See also magic realism.
